The Greirat quest is such a buggy piece of garbage. This is the second playthrough that has randomly had him die on me when he should've lived. Here's what I did: Rescued Siegward from the well after beating the Cathedral Sent Greirat off to Irithyll Beat the Old Demon King Went to Irithyll and found Greirat dead in the sewers . During my first playthrough I went to free Greirat from his cell after acquiring the cell key and when i went back to the cell all was found was his ashes. This time on NG+ me and my friend are doing together we did his lothric wall first then mine . But when I did it afterwards, the same thing happened. Or maybe just what Patches said "Greirat did him a favour" in Lothric dungeon and he's grateful for it. Patches is an asshole. Sadly Greirat quest feels unfinished with Patches because it heavily implies Patches looted something in Grand Archives/Lothric after you tell him where Greirat went on his last trip.Greirat will appear back at Firelink Shrine after you kill Pontiff Sulyvahn. However, a boss needs to die in your world in a certain amount of time after sending Greirat or he dies. If I refuse to send Greirat to pillage when he asks, will he ask again? He still has stuff I want to buy but he's asked me prematurely to go to Lothric castle because I ventured in early for chunks.
